Why can’t the body shape, correct, modify, and generally engage with the garment instead of passively adapt to it? This project reinterprets the classic tailored suit jacket using knit as the tool to reconnect clothes with the wearers and their bodies. The resulting digitally knitted jacket presents diverse structures strategically positioned all over it. These structures, thanks to their different properties and yarn composition, respond in different ways to the pressure the body applies on their surface, some accommodating it and some containing it. This allows the wearer’s body forms to influence the final shape and silhouette of the garment.
